COA-HC-RN: Chronic Health Conditions Among Older Adults in the Home Care
This course describes the guiding principles for managing multiple chronic conditions in home care, identifies the risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) in older adults, and explores how the pharmacologic management of CHD risk factors, namely DM, differs in older adults compared to younger adults.
Care of Older Adults in the Long-Term Care Setting (COA-LTC) Series
This series was created to ensure that all healthcare team members have the knowledge to care for older adults across the spectrum of long-term care. These courses promote team-based, coordinated, person-centered, evidence-based care for older adults in the long-term care setting.
Care of Older Adults in Rural America (COA-RA) Series
These courses are designed to help the learner recognize factors that impact the well-being of older adults through the lens of rural life by examining poor health outcomes and providing strategies to improve their health.
Care of Older Adults in Long-Term Care: RN/IP Series
This series was created to ensure that registered nurses and interprofessionals have the knowledge to care for older adults across the spectrum of long-term care. These courses promote team-based, coordinated, person-centered, evidence-based care for older adults in the long-term care setting.
