These courses are designed to help the learner recognize factors that impact the well-being of older adults through the lens of rural life by examining poor health outcomes and providing strategies to improve their health.

The modules in this series can be completed individually or altogether. Nursing continuing professional development contact hours will be provided for each of the modules.

Individuals who complete this series will be able to:

1. Define best nursing practices in caring for and communicating with older adults in the rural setting.
2. Describe factors that impact the health of older adults in rural areas including age-related changes, finances, healthcare access and health policy.
