NHCGNE National Hartford Centers for Gerontological Nursing Excellence

Join NHCGNE on July 22-23, 2017 in San Francisco, CA for their Annual Nursing Leadership Conference, that focuses on developing leaders in gerontological nursing and system-wide health care to advance the quality of health available to older adults.

The National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence (NHCGNE) is a collaboration between the Coordinating Center housed at the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, and schools of nursing and institutions internationally that have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to the field of gerontological nursing. NHCGNE is unique in that our sole focus is gerontological nursing and because we build on the legacy of the John A. Hartford Foundation. Our members are more likely to achieve success because of the strong collaborative relationships that they build through access to over 300 gerontological nursing leaders, and because of the potential for rapid development of their programs through access to cutting-edge best practices in faculty and curriculum development. Our mission is to enhance and sustain the capacity and competency of nurses to provide quality care to older adults through faculty development, advancing gerontological nursing science, facilitating adoption of best practices, fostering leadership, and designing and shaping policy. Our vision is optimal health for all older adults.
