Primary Care of Older Adults (PCOA) Program

The goal of HIPCOA is to build the capacity of the healthcare workforce in geriatrics. This will be accomplished by a multi-modal education intervention aimed at improving the knowledge and skill sets of primary care providers, faculty members and students. Through the creation, testing, and nationwide dissemination of a series of primary care-focused online learning modules, the PCOA program will create a systematic approach to embed in primary care settings patient- and family-centered and evidence-based care that is responsive to the particular needs of older adults.
